Bringing a premium physical product into a digital experience.
Mallorkinas is built around a distinctive idea: turning a sandal into a piece of jewelry. The digital challenge was to translate that premium product positioning into a complete online store, connecting the brand, navigation, product pages and customization into one shopping experience.
My work covered the design and development of the e-commerce website and the UX/UI design of the product customizer.
A complete online store. A customizer designed from the ground up.
I worked across the Mallorkinas digital experience, from navigation architecture and UI design to responsive layouts and development with WordPress and WooCommerce.
Within that ecosystem, I conceptualized and designed the customizer experience, defining how options are presented, how users move through the configuration and how the selected product stays visible throughout the journey.
The customizer's specific technical implementation and front-end build were completed by another team member.
Designing the concept, flow and interface.
My work on the customizer began before implementation: I shaped the concept, mapped the user journey and designed the interface to make a multi-option configuration easy to understand and complete.
The experience follows a sequence of steps, keeping the relationship between each decision and the final product visible throughout.
The customizer's technical implementation was handled by another team member.
Many options. Clear decisions.
I organized a large number of options into a step-by-step flow to reduce decision overload.
Each choice is connected to the product being configured, keeping the result in view.
The final summary brings together the configuration and price so users can review their choices before adding the item to their cart.
A customizer designed as part of the product.
The customizer was not conceived as a separate tool, but as a natural extension of the product page.
I designed its architecture, interaction flow and interface to follow the same visual language, hierarchy and interaction logic as the rest of the store.

The store as a digital product.
The project went beyond the customizer. I designed and developed the complete Mallorkinas e-commerce experience in WordPress and WooCommerce, from navigation and product pages to responsive layouts and purchasing journeys.
The aim was to make the store feel like an extension of the brand: easy to navigate, visually engaging when exploring products and consistent through checkout.
Navigation and hierarchy designed around product discovery.
An experience that adapts across devices while preserving visual hierarchy.
Product, customization and purchase as a connected journey.
Store design and development with WordPress and WooCommerce.
Tradition, design and personal combinations.
The visual system needed to support different configurations and styles without losing a recognizable, consistent identity.
Designing customization means designing decisions.
Mallorkinas shows how design and development can work together to support a coherent shopping experience: a complete e-commerce store and a customizer designed to simplify a potentially complex product decision.
